Piecing for Parkinson’s is an extension of our Parkinson’s Comfort Quilt program. These events bring together quilters to design, cut, iron and create new Comfort Quilts for people with Parkinson’s.

We have several ways for you or your guild to participate.

First, we have kits made from high quality, donated fabric that we are happy to send to individuals and groups. To request Parkinson’s Comfort Quilt top kits, please contact the Parkinson’s Comfort Project at ParkinsonsComfort@gmail.com

We are also delighted when guilds host their own Piecing for Parkinson’s events. We’re happy to show up with patterns and lots of enthusiasm so that participants can work on their own projects. Or we can provide kits and patterns so that participants can make tops.

You can make a donation and get a great quilt book by purchasing a copy of Sonja Hakala’s Piecing for Parkinson’s: Six Versatile Quilt Patterns, Two Quilt-as-you-go Methods, and One Easy Way to Quilt with your Feed Dogs Up.

And once a year, in April, we host a Piecing for Parkinson’s event that you are all invited to join. Don’t worry, we’ll let you know when it’s coming.

Questions? Please contact the Parkinson’s Comfort Project at ParkinsonsComfort@gmail.com
