About Sonja Hakala

Author Sonja Hakala is the founder of the Parkinson’s Comfort Project was born. When she isn’t raising awareness about Parkinson’s disease, Sonja is a busy author and book publishing consultant.

She is the author of three novels about a fictional town in Vermont called Carding. They are The Road Unsalted, Thieves of Fire, and The Dazzling Uncertainty of Life.

She is also the editor of a collection of stories by quilters called American Patchwork from St. Martin’s Press, and the author of two how-to quilt books from Wiley Publishing, Teach Yourself Visually Quilting and Visual Quick Tips Quilting.

Sonja is also the author of a book on independent publishing called Publish Your Book, Your Way.
